Description:

"If you're looking for your new best friend Lola will be more than happy to fill that position! Save her a spot on the couch or in your bed and she will be there to shower you in love and cuddles. She gets along with other dogs well but prefers to be the center of attention. Very food/treat motivated, and can be slightly protective over food/treats. Moderate energy level, she will follow you around all day but is content to sleep like the typical greyhound.

She does like to play with squeaky toys and chew on bones but will discard them for your attention or is she thinks she might miss out on something! Loves to go for walks, and walks on a leash well, but she is always on the look out for those small critters! Very small prey driven. Not suitable in a house with cats or small dogs.

Lola LOVES people and wants to greet everyone she meets. Hasn't had much interaction with children but would recommend older children as she could easily knock over small children in her excitement. Can be vocal when she wants attention and whines when left alone, but intensifies when crated so we have not been using a crate when home alone. She would not do well in an apartment setting. Likes to be outside, fenced in yard preferable (larger than 4 ft or she could probably jump it), not able to be left on tie out!

*Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption.

When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.

Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks.

Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance.
