Meet Yoda

Yoda is a fantastic little dog! For starters, he is perfectly
house-trained; he has never had an accident in the house! He does not care for crates. However, he has no need to be crated as he does not potty or chew/destroy things even if he is given freedom to wander the whole house.

Yoda's very favorite thing to do is snuggle with his person. He likes to sit on your lap, or rest his head on your leg, or just be held. He is just a precious little guy.

Yoda was good on a leash when he first came to me, but he's getting even better; he does not pull, and walks along at a good pace.

So far Yoda doesn't really play with toys, but I think as he warms up to a person/household, he might be more interested in toys. He does love the frozen peanut butter Kong!

Yoda is not a barker in general but in the beginning he would bark when I was away from the house. However, with some patience and time, he has gotten over that and is now a happy, quiet little dog.

*Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption.

When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.

Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks.

Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance.
