Meet Happy

Happy – A smart, even-tempered, funny looking, 5 year-old, fit, 20 lbs., Lhasa Apso/Poodle mix. A lap dog, that likes to be close to his person. Likes to snuggle and prefers lying/sitting near his person.

Crate trained, house broken, and neutered. No official training, but understands and minds “sit”, “drop”, “off”, and “stay” commands. Barks when someone is at door, but will greet visitors respectfully, or may bark when playing. Plays fetch, but would never win a Frisbee catching contest.

Happy is an incredibly loving dog who takes to people quickly and loves to cuddle. He can be a bit shy at first with other dogs but before long he warms up and can't wait to play. He is very well behaved and almost never barks unless there is a visitor at the door. This charming little
guy is so quiet on car rides you'll forget he's even there!

We would recommend a forever home with older (12+) children

*Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption.

When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.

Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks.

Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance.
