Description:

Germaine was found wondering alone out in the country.

Germaine has been doing well in her foster home.  She is crate trained and potty trained.  She’ll gladly go walk into her crate when her foster mom has to go to work.  She is still working on being able to walk on a leash.  She does much better when she uses a harness, but she prefers to be able to relax outside with a fence.

Germaine loves to play with her friend Hazel.  When she gets really excited, she’ll run “full-speed” laps around the yard until Hazel joins in on the action.

Germaine loves to chew, so it is good to keep her occupied with toys or else she may find your shoes!

She gets along well with other dogs and has been excited to give kisses and meet human visitors.  She’s likely good with children, although she doesn’t live with any in her current foster home.

Germaine is a little apprehensive about coming when called, so it is good to exercise patience with her until she warms up.  Germaine is looking forward to finding her forever home!

*Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption.

When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.

Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks.

Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance.
