Meet Gabriella!

This beautiful girl is looking for a new home. She is as sweet as they come and will make a great companion. Gabriella would do best in a home with older or no kids.

Gabriella came to us with some limited vision in one eye and unfortunately the eye she could see from experienced a corneal rupture recently and nothing could be done to save it. She is doing extremely well post surgery and is feeling good!    Gabriella has adjusted amazingly well to having no sight and is still the sweetest pup around.

Gabriella moves about with confidence once she is acclimated to an environment. She still is unable to navigate stairs by herself.

Gabriella is probably 95% house trained - she usually goes to the door when she needs to go out.   Accidents seems to happen on rainy days or later in the evening when it's dark.

Most of her quirks seem to be a result of her adjustment to total blindness.   She will give a bark she bumps into another dog.   She guards her food.

She sleeps at night in a dog bed or on a couch.   She enjoys lap time.   Gabrialla loves treats and can hear a rustling treat bag from quiet a distance.    No problem with her hearing!

She's a brave little girl with lots of love to give.

*Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption.

When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.

Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks.

Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance.
