Description:

Lahey is an incredibly sweet and friendly boy! He has a big heart and loves everyone he meets. He is very affectionate and likes to cuddle right up to you anytime he can for a belly rub. He also enjoys being outdoors - playing fetch with his favorite toy or chasing his dog pals in a game of tag.

Lahey is fully house-trained and very well behaved when left home alone during the work day. He roams freely in the house without getting into any mischief. He is also good on car rides and walks well on a leash. He knows a number of basic commands like sit, stay, down, shake, and is always very eager to please!

Generally Lahey is pretty quiet but he will bark when someone comes to the door, or when he wants to come inside. He gets along well with other dogs, but is a little too excited around cats. He has not been around children under 10 but does well with older children. He would probably do best in an active home where he can get plenty of play time and exercise.

*Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption.

When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.

Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks.

Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance.
