Description:

Magnifico was surrendered to MARS when his mom became too ill to care for him
any longer. He is a great little guy and although his momma will miss him it was
very important to her to know he would find a safe and loving home to continue to
provide for him. Magnifico will be a little scared and shy when coming into a new
home. Because he was in a home with only a female, he initially is more
comfortable with the female in the household, but will quickly adjust to the men if
given space for a short period of time. Once adjusted, he is loving to all!!

Magnifico gets along well with other dogs big or small and kids of all ages as long
as they are respectful. He has never nipped at dogs or people, but will bark when a
stranger comes into the house. He will also bark if your resident dogs start the
barking – then he thinks it is a game and joins in! He will take a few days to
become friends with new dogs, but once he knows he fits in, loves to play!
Magnifico also loves to play with toys! One of his favorite things to do is go for
walks and he is very good on a leash. He becomes so excited when he sees the
leash and knows it is time for a walk! Magnifico does well in public and knows sit
and is also learning other commands such as lay and stay. He loves treats and
food!

Magnifico is house trained and crate trained. He loves to snuggle with his foster
parents and will give little baby kisses once he trusts you. Otherwise, he will put his
face close to you and rub his nose along your face (so cute!!).

*Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption.

When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.

Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks.

Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance.
