Meet Tadashi!

Tadashi is SUPER snuggly and sweet. He always wants to be near you and if you’re on the couch or in bed, he loves to rest his head on you and get lots of pets

Tadashi does well in the crate – he whines a little bit but otherwise pretty quiet. He does bark when no one is home, if he is left out, so a crate might be the best option for him.

Tadashi does really good about not begging when someone is eating. He will stare at you, but hasn’t tried to sneak a bite!

Tadashi knows commands “sit” and “come” and is working on some others such as lay down, stay, go to his bed.

He is high energy, so definitely needs lots of walks if in an apartment/condo building or a backyard to run around in. However, when he knows it is bedtime he is super calm and cuddly and doesn’t bother you throughout the night or early in the morning.

Tadashi has a funny quirk- if he sees reflections off of his collar or other objects he tries to catch them (kind of like a cat). He also barks at the vacuum

He is house trained and good about letting you know when he needs to go out - but he will try to get you to take him out when he doesn’t need to go to the bathroom, so a schedule would be best for him.

Tadashi gets super excited when he sees other dogs through the window and whines. He loves walks and is really great on the leash- he doesn’t pull unless he sees something he is excited about.

Tadashi does not prefer other dogs, so would do best with no other dogs in the house. He has not been around children or cats at this time.

*Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption.

When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.

Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks.

Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance.
