Description:

Acella is the most snuggly, goofy, happy girl you’ve ever met. She quickly adjusted to her foster home and has the biggest personality. All she wants is to be near humans and snuggle them. She was previously in a foster home with other dogs who seemed to make her uncomfortable. Her past was not a pretty one and we have no idea what she may have experienced with other dogs. She will likely need to be the only dog in the home to ensure the best environment for her and other animals.

She recently discovered her love for toys, give her some toys and she absolutely lights up and will play all day. She likes to shake her toys and chew on them. She also likes to wrestle and chase and play tug of war. Because of her strong build and tendency to play a little rough, she needs to be in a home with older kids. She has never intentionally caused harm of course, but she can get quite clumsy and rambunctious when it’s play time.

Acella #1 favorite activity is going for car rides, and going on a walk is a close second. She is potty trained and drinks lots of water so she needs someone who can take her outside multiple times per day. Although Acella loves to play and get attention, she will calm down when directed to and go fall asleep on her bed or the couch. This girl loves to sleep just as much as she loves to play! You’ll probably find her laying on her back and snoring. She sleeps like a rock for almost 12 hours every night.

If you’re looking for a snuggle buddy who is also down to play with you and go on adventures, Acella is the perfect dog for you.

Acella did test positive for heartworm and will be receiving treatment provided by MARS to live a long healthy life.

*A dog with Heartworms is not directly contagious to other animals. Heartworms are transmitted by an infected mosquito.

*The pet you are viewing is a rescued pet which is most often from an animal control facility and does not come with a pedigree. The breed(s) listed are our best guess and are in no way guaranteed. Sometimes the pets appear to be a particular breed(s) in the pictures we receive from our rescue partners and when they arrive we are surprised to see an entirely different breed(s) in person!  If you choose to DNA test your adopted pet, test results may vary from company to company and our breed guess may not be reflected in those results as it is just that, our best guess. It is with deep longing that we wish there was a breed called "cute" as we believe all of our dogs would fall under this new breed classification!

Completion of an Adoption Application via our website www.midwestanimalrescue.org is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is the first step in our adoption process.

*Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption.

When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.

Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks.

Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance.
