Description:
Hello friends! My name is Gabby (and sometimes Bella because everyone says I’m so pretty!) My foster mom told me that the wonderful people at MARS brought me here on transport last minute because they just couldn’t leave me behind. I’m so happy to be in Minnesota! I’ve had so much fun since I’ve been here! My favorite things are: doing zoomies in the fenced in yard, playing with the resident dogs, and getting belly rubs (I’m notorious for falling asleep when I get them!)
When I first got here I was hesitant to do the stairs. Two days in and I figured out that not all stairs are scary. It might take me a day or two to readjust in my forever home.
My foster mom says I’m an angel- I don’t climb up on furniture and am so happy to sleep in my comfy dog bed with my blankie next to my foster family. I’m also very gentle with the resident dogs. My foster family are free-feeders and I am content with that and don’t have food aggression with them. I don’t mind when my mom pets me while I’m eating and I take my snacks very gently- and I’ll gladly leave it behind if it means I get to follow you somewhere!
I love nothing more than to be where the action is! My foster mom says I’m a little stinker because I will put myself in my kennel when I want to rest but I do not like to be put in the kennel and left- and I will vocally remind you of it! The good news is that I’m a very good girl and get full run of the house when my foster family is gone. I’m also fully potty trained and haven’t had any accidents in the house. My foster mom says I am just a super sweet girl who wants nothing more than to make my family happy. Can we be a family?
Gabby has been an absolute joy from the moment we picked her up at MARS. She is so beautiful and so sweet and gentle.
*She rides well in the car
*She loves to nibble on her teddy bear
*She loves the snuffle mat and doing beginner nose work with interactive toys
*She learned the command “come” in two days
*She rarely barks at people/things when she is outside. She is more inquisitive than anything
*She has a deep bark for such a pretty girl. She will bark when there is someone at the door but quits when you tell her it’s ok
*She enjoys walks and does pretty well on the leash but have noticed she is kind of nervous of moving cars
*She melts into you when you pet her. She loves to love.
She is an amazing companion that brings so many smiles and a ton of fun to our home!
If you have previously applied with us please email adoptionatmars@gmail.com to reactivate your application with new interest. All fees are subject to MN sales tax and a processing fee at the time of adoption. We accept Credit cards, Debit cards as well as cash. At this time we do not accept checks.
Our Adoption fees for all animals cover required vetting: which includes, Rabies, Distemper Vaccine Series, Bordetella, Deworming, Heartworm Test as age appropriate, Spay or Neuter and Microchip and registration.
*The pet you are viewing is a rescued pet which is most often from an animal control facility and does not come with a pedigree. The breed(s) listed are our best guess and are in no way guaranteed. Sometimes the pets appear to be a particular breed(s) in the pictures we receive from our rescue partners and when they arrive we are surprised to see an entirely different breed(s) in person! If you choose to DNA test your adopted pet, test results may vary from company to company and our breed guess may not be reflected in those results as it is just that, our best guess. It is with deep longing that we wish there was a breed called "cute" as we believe all of our dogs would fall under this new breed classification! Completion of an Adoption Application via our website www.midwestanimalrescue.org is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is the first step in our adoption process.
*Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care. Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks. Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance.
