Tofu is a beautiful, possibly lynx ragdoll. While we cannot vouch for his pedigree, we can assure you that he will be a wonderful pet for the right home. He is playful, affectionate and VOCAL. He really likes playing and loves other cats. This hunk is not for everyone, so please read his profile before applying. Tofu has had a hard time in his transition to rescue, all the changes and the stressors from landing in a shelter caused Tofu to deteriorate and partake in some naughty behaviors. He is past all that, but it took some time to figure out what Tofu needs to be his best self. ***NO YOUNG CHILDREN****: Tofu has boundaries, and can be a little touchy. He warns you, but quickly follows up with a swat or nip. Older kids who can read his queues are fine. ****He needs some space***; Tofu is a young, active, vocal cat. He is not a good fit for a studio apartment. He will drive you and probably your neighbors crazy. If you are still reading--- This is Tofu's foster: after about a week or so of settling in, Tofu is great cat. He is funny, and playful, and great with my other cats. He is affectionate on his own terms, and will be a great addition to a home with some cat experience. He probably isn't a good first cat. But if you have young, friendly, playful (although he doesn't like to wrestle), cats- he would love to join your crew. *Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care. Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks. Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance.
