Description:

Cheers, I am Arctic. I also answer to Minime and lit buddy. While originally a southern boy, I love snow,and adventures outside. My name comes from the Greek word for bear. I don't think I resemble any of the teddy "bears" I have met, but I have been told I like to snuggle the same. My foster mom describes me as the entertainer and share my fun with those around me. I enjoy everyone's company and want to play. I am excited to meet all humans. I do amazing with kids of all sizes, but am still learning what my own body can do and may need supervision with little kids. I do well on leash, and am a little shy of new dogs. Within a few minutes view them as a new friend. I do ok with cats, however sometimes I scare them with my quick moments.

I look just like a yellow lab, but am starting to have some shepherd coloring on my back, and my ears are starting to stand up. I sleep through the night in the kennel and am doing well on potty training. Before bedtime enjoy hanging out with the family, while curled up with my dog sister.

* Puppies under 5 months should not be left alone for more than 4 hours at a time to help them with potty training and socialization.

*Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption.

When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.

Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks.

Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance.
