Description:
Panzer is an owner surrender. A classic case of "He was so cute when he was a puppy but then he got so big" :( Poor Panzer needs a new home. Do you have room in your heart to help this sweet boy? URGENT: Panzer needs temporary foster home while we work to find a forever home. We cover all authorized medical expenses and also provide free food if needed. UPDATE FROM PANZER'S ADOPTIVE HOME! SEPTEMBER 8th, 2011: Panzer, now named Taser, came to us as a foster that had a lot of interest
before he even got in the hands of MARS! Once he jumped out of the
vehicle with his kong wubba bear, we knew he would be staying, no matter
how much we denied and discussed it, we knew. Like most rescue dogs, he
came with some baggage but luckily it was light and we have worked hard to
mold him into who he is today. The terror of the neighborhood (our
neighbors say)! He has this vicious bark and he will let you know if
anyone gets too close to his yard, as a good Shepherd should! He learned
good and bad habits from both of his Shepherd brothers and that has made
them a tight pack that hates to be seperated and they will let you know
it!
Taser has completed Basic Obedience and we are looking into the next level
of training for this Fall. He has a great bite on him and is driven like
you wouldn't believe - therefore, we need an outlet for his energy; thus
his mental training. All he wants to do is please and when he jumps on
the bed after breakfast each morning to wake you up with a kiss and a
nuzzle its hard to believe he couldn't please anyone! He has claimed the
bathroom as his bedroom and insists on monitoring all activities that go
on in there! Loves his car rides and going to Grandma and Grandpa's where
he and his brothers can run till they drop! I have to say Grandpa has
become #2 on his list of favorite people, after his Dad of course.
*The pet you are viewing is a rescued pet which is most often from an animal control facility and does not come with a pedigree. The breed(s) listed are our best guess and are in no way guaranteed. Sometimes the pets appear to be a particular breed(s) in the pictures we receive from our rescue partners and when they arrive we are surprised to see an entirely different breed(s) in person! If you choose to DNA test your adopted pet, test results may vary from company to company and our breed guess may not be reflected in those results as it is just that, our best guess. It is with deep longing that we wish there was a breed called "cute" as we believe all of our dogs would fall under this new breed classification! Completion of an Adoption Application via our website www.midwestanimalrescue.org is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is the first step in our adoption process.
*Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care. Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks. Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance.
