Why has this little cutie been in rescue for so long?

He's just too perfect! This pocket-sized pogo stick pup is sure to add some zest into your life. He's a terrier in all the right ways and would make a super addition to ANY home.

-not "barky", unless someone is at the door

KC has been catching on quickly to basic commands. Like most Rat Terriers, KC can be full of energy but also knows how to settle in for the evenings to cuddle on the couch. A warm lap and a blankie are his favorite snuggle spots! KC is also happy to entertain himself with some squeaky toys or chews.

KC is just the right combination of energy, fun, and kisses.

FOSTER UPDATE: Little KC has really settled into one of the best fosters I've ever had. With the warm weather we've been doing lots of fun outside things, and he just loves it all. As long as he is around his favorite people, he's happy! Not much of a swimming dog, but we found out he really enjoys running along side bicycles.

He's the kind of dog that has never met a stranger in his life, and will sometimes try to go home with just about anybody at the dog park! (Of course, when I call him he comes back to me) KC has proven to be a "watered down" version of a Rat Terrier. He's not crazy-bounce-off-the-walls energy, and will adjust his energy level to the other dogs/people in the home.

He loves loves loves to play with other dogs, and would most likely to do better with a doggy or kid friend to play with. If everybody is quieting down for the evening, he'll quiet down too. If you want to take him for a walk- he's ready! KC is great at looking to you for direction in how he should behave. He only wants to please! KC has been waiting for his new home for a long time, is he the right dog for you?

*Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption.

When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.

Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks.

Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance.
