Description:
Meet Moe! Moe and his brothers were found lost and alone in a forest reserve after a flood. Now they are all looking for a good place to call home!Moe is an adorable little terrier mix with a loving and playful nature. With his little "old man" face and his wirey coat, it's sometimes hard to remember that he is just a 6 month old puppy! When he shares his kisses and curls up in your lap or snuggles into your neck for a nap, there's no denying he's still a puppy and in need of lots of love and direction to grow up into a well-behaved little dog. "MoMo," as we call him, loves his toys and his rawhides and will sit quietly playing and chewing until he sees someone on the move....at which time he just must follow and investigate! He can tear around the yard at lightening speed to keep up with the big dogs, but always runs back to his people for a security check-in. He is no shy dog, and is holding his own comfortably with the 70lb Rottweiler mix, a 40lb Shepherd puppy and several other resident dogs. He's a little shy around children, but a slow and calm approach works well to make him feel safe. MoMo is working on his manners and will potty outside if taken out each time he wakes up and on a regular schedule throughout the day. He barks rarely, but has a surprisingly deep and assertive voice when he has something to say. Moe seems to have springs in his back legs and can easily get up on the sofa or bed, and could probably be trained to leap up into your arms if you wanted him to! He sleeps through the night - usually curled up next to a warm human or on whatever part of the pillow you are willing to share. He's a total love-bug and would make the perfect companion for someone looking to have a buddy that wants to be with them all the time!!!! *The pet you are viewing is a rescued pet which is most often from an animal control facility and does not come with a pedigree. The breed(s) listed are our best guess and are in no way guaranteed. Sometimes the pets appear to be a particular breed(s) in the pictures we receive from our rescue partners and when they arrive we are surprised to see an entirely different breed(s) in person! If you choose to DNA test your adopted pet, test results may vary from company to company and our breed guess may not be reflected in those results as it is just that, our best guess. It is with deep longing that we wish there was a breed called "cute" as we believe all of our dogs would fall under this new breed classification! Completion of an Adoption Application via our website www.midwestanimalrescue.org is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is the first step in our adoption process.
*Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care. Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks. Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance.
