Check out what Lady's foster has to say:

Little Miss Lady is an absolute sweetie! Introductions went very well with the other
dogs. We took it slow and didn't have any issues. She did give Kado and Dilly a
warning growl because they were crowding her but they listened and backed off. She
has been instigating play the last two evenings with both Dilly and Kado. Her and Maggie have very similar personalities so when they're in the house together they mostly take naps :)
She doesn't seem to know any commands or her name but she is a very quick learner.
Right now we're playing the name game to teach her what her name is and that it
automatically means come and we're working on loose leash walking. I'll teach her
the rest later. She isn't really into treats. She could take them or leave them but
she craves your attention so praise is a good reward for a job well done for this girl.
She has excellent house manners, 100% potty trained. Crates when we are gone, which
is rare since we work oposite shifts, and she sleeps in her crate at night without
making a peep. She does have a lot to say when you let her out though! She wiggles
her little booty and makes happy grunting sounds. She's very silly.
She loves loves loves people! She wants to be with you always. She's a very good
helper around the house without being in the way. No food aggression at all. Also not much of a barker.
She will make an excellent companion for someone but I think she's most interested
in a family. As long as introductions to other doggies are done correctly and she
has a strong pack leader, I don't see why she can't have doggie companions too.
She's doing great with ours.

Lady is a petite shepherd mix looking for her forever.

Dumped outside a rural shelter, this poor girl was left alone and scared.  Fortunately an angel swooped her up and contacted MARS. She LOVES everyone she meets and you will not meet a more loyal dog. She is a little more cautious about who her doggie friends are but is willing to work on that. She wants to be by your side at all times.

*The pet you are viewing is a rescued pet which is most often from an animal control facility and does not come with a pedigree. The breed(s) listed are our best guess and are in no way guaranteed. Sometimes the pets appear to be a particular breed(s) in the pictures we receive from our rescue partners and when they arrive we are surprised to see an entirely different breed(s) in person!  If you choose to DNA test your adopted pet, test results may vary from company to company and our breed guess may not be reflected in those results as it is just that, our best guess. It is with deep longing that we wish there was a breed called "cute" as we believe all of our dogs would fall under this new breed classification!

Completion of an Adoption Application via our website www.midwestanimalrescue.org is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is the first step in our adoption process.

*Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption.

When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.

Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks.

Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance.
