Description:

Lizzie and her companions were rescued from a hoarder in northern MN. All four furkids are good with other dogs and want so badly to be loved and in a loving home.

Because they were kept outside and contained in a pen for their entire lives, they will need extra love and attention to help them gain their confidence. They also need homes with other confident dogs to help show them the ropes and teach them to trust.

A fenced yard is a must for these babies. At least a 5' or 6' is required. They are scared of sudden movements so a quiet home or a house without small children is also needed.

Sadly these babies have never heard of toys or treats or even furniture. They know nothing but chain link and gravel :(

Please help us help them. There is nothing like seeing a dog pick up a toy for the first time in their life. Watching their eyes light up and their head tilt when they find the first squeeker.

Foster home update:
Wanted to update you on Lizzie. She's doing a lot better. I got another foster last night (Jasper), which I think is really good for Lizzie. She's so happy today. Giving lots of kisses and wagging her tail a lot more :-) I took them both to the small dog meet n greet.

When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.

Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks.

Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance.
