Special Needs: Zeus has had testing/xrays done but nothing is clear what the neurological issue is. He has some balance issues and leans to the left when excited.

Description:

The story we were told was that their mom was a beautiful red bully girl who disappeared a couple weeks after she gave birth. She was only 11 months old and probably did not want to be a mom. They said she was bred with an Australian Shepherd. When the puppies wouldnt eat they handed them over to a rescuer who could bottle feed the babies and then they came into MARS when they were 6 weeks old.

They have all been adopted excpet Zeus. He stayed in foster care at the home where his sister was adotped to. At a young age we had noticed he was having troubles with stairs, and was a bit wobbly. We have done xrays, blood work and he saw a specialist. No one can find anything wrong with him and the next step would be an MRI, which as a non profit rescue we cannot afford. They aren't even sure if it would show anything.

He is now in a new foster home and adjusting well to stairs, and LOVES to play with the other dogs. He just needed some tough love to get the courage to do things on his own more. He is ready for his forever home and he just knows there is a special family out there for him that will take him in and love him as he is.

*Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption.

When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.

Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks.

Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance.
