Meet Manny

Poor Manny spent the beginning of his life both neglected and abused. Currently he is in a foster with another dog his size and two cats and does great with both. He would do best in a home without young kids or large dogs as he is afraid of them.

Manny would do best in a home with another dog his size, as he spent most of his life crated, and doesn’t know a lot about being a dog outside of a crate. He is very smart, and has learned a lot from mimicking the other dog in the home.

Manny gets better every day he is in rescue. He is so very sweet, he just needs time to warm up to new people. Manny needs a home that will have patience with him while he learns to trust. Once you’ve earned his trust, he will love you forever.

Manny is a good boy, listens well, is almost house-trained and is doing great on a leash, although he doesn’t like walks. He’s learned to love being outside, and needs to have a fenced in yard.

During the day when everyone’s at work, he’s gated in the kitchen. He gets anxious with too much time in a crate, which is understandable considering his background. He is crated at night next to the other dog, and he does fine. When his foster mom is home, he has free reign of the house, although most of the time he’s under her feet or lying next to her.

This little boy just craves affection as he’s never had that before now. He just needs somebody to love him.”

*Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption.

When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.

Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks.

Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance.
