Get a peek at this sweet and silly looking fellow! He was surrendered with 2 other dogs because the owners were moving.  We know his breed mix is unusual but it is true as the owners have the parents.  

Sammy is a loveable, happy-go-lucky guy.  He bonds to people quickly and starts acting like he's been your pet forever.  He happily trots over when called.  He knows the commands "Let's Go!" (to go outside) and "No!" (when he's doing something he's not supposed to).  Sammy melts your heart because he’s easily trainable and tries very hard to please his guardians and be a good boy.  He hardly ever barks.

Sammy loves going on walks. In the morning he follows me to the front door and dances there while I hook him and my other dog on the leashes. He also enjoys long walks in the park (and secretly whishes I would let him go after all the squirrels and bunnies.

He is doing well with our tiny resident Poodle.  Sometimes he isn’t quite so sure about sharing a lap but they play really well together and he is very gentle with her. He is doing really well with being potty trained on schedule. During the day he is now very used to being crated.  He goes into his crate all by himself when he sees us leaving the house or just wants to rest and chew on his toys. At night he loves to snuggle up with his human family and occasionally hog the pillows.

This is our first foster experience and it's been nothing but fun and easy - Sammy does not have anxieties or issues that would prevent him from making a perfect companion in his forever home. He loves following his people around and likes to come up and put his paw up on your arm or knee to be petted. We took him on 4-hour trip to the lake and he was a perfect passenger, just snoozed in the back seat

Sammy would do well in a family without small kids, with mature adults or a single woman. He is very friendly with other dogs. He is calm but enthusiastic about any attention you’d pay him: walks, petting, giving him a new chew toy. Sammy would LOVE it if you adopt him and give him a permanent home.
